Aquaventure, Atlantis, Dubai

Aquaventure Dubai

This week instead of chatting about an actual destination or holiday it's more of an 'activity' post.

Aquaventure is the waterpark attached to the Atlantis hotel in Dubai.

When we first arrived in the UAE we used to visit it all the time as it is such good fun and a really good day out. Unfortunately, we didn't make it there last year with moving and hubby changing jobs, the year just literally flew by and we ran out of time.

We will be going there this year for sure! We love the lazy river with the rapids which is great fun! They do have a few other rides if you're more of a thrill seeker, but for me and hubby the lazy river is just perfect for us.

The grounds are lovely, you have the beach with the Burg Al Arab in the distance, food outlets, 'Shark Bites' is always our 'go to' place, the burgers are lush and huge! We made the mistake of ordering a double cheeseburger one time and they were absolutely massive and we couldn't move afterwards, ha!

As the waterpark is attached to the hotel alcohol is available. A cheeky beer at lunch time is always nice!

If you're planning a visit to Dubai, I would thoroughly recommend a trip to Aquaventure. I would say it is one of our favorite days out in Dubai. Especially in the height of summer where the temperatures are scorching, it is so nice to float about and be in the water all day, there is no better place to be!

Mil Palmeras

Happy Thursday guys, hope you're all well. I'm just popping on here to show you a few pictures I snapped quickly today while we were at Mil Palmeras Beach. We popped to Mercadona this morning, well more lunchtime(ish) as we are sleeping in so much lately, but that's for another day. So, we picked up a few bits for the weekend and grabbed one of their sushi boxes for our lunch on the go. fyi , the best supermarket sushi I've had! After our trip to Mercadona we headed for Leroy Merlin in La Zenia as we needed to get some more bags of sand and some gravel too for our little diy garden project. I say little, but it's turning into quite the construction! Keep an eye on my  insta stories   over the weekend for updates. En-route to Leroy's we stopped off at Mil Palmeras to eat our sushi by the sea. Mil Palmeras has always been one of our favourite places here on the Costa Blanca South. Actually it was one of the first places we went to after the lockdown last year.  To

Morning Oats

If you're anything like me I'm always looking for the next healthy/weight-loss secret!  Something that I can easily incorporate into my lifestyle without it feeling like a diet or a chore. I've done 'diets' in the past, but now I'm more into the whole lifestyle change - I'm in it for the long run! A couple of things that I've been eating/drinking on a regular basis for easily the last six months, that I think has been the result of me being able to keep the lbs at bay and actually feel so much healthier. Just a simple change in my morning habits.  I'm talking breakfast here guys. So easy and simple. Something I've taken from the Dukan diet that I have done in the past.  That was to have oats for breakfast. With skimmed milk. Oats are a slow releasing carb, so they gradually fill you up which ultimately stops those mid-morning cravings. I have two generous spoonful's of oats in a bowl and mix with s
