In Dec 2012 we took a little break over to Mauritius.

We had five nights at the Sofitel L'Imperial Resort & Spa.

It was a beautiful resort in Flic En Flac.

Breakfast was included and was stunning, we'd sit there for ages overlooking the pool and the gardens, sampling all the delicious breakfast items on offer!

The hotel was a little far from the small town, but there was a bus that you could catch into the town. It was nothing special, quite a rickety old thing, but it cost pennies and got you there safely!

In the town there were a few restaurants, gift shops, where I bought a beautiful sarong and a Spa supermarket. I must admit we were pleased that there was a supermarket near by, so we could stock up on a few room treats!

One of the restaurants we went to was Hippocampe, just around the corner from the Spa. The restaurant had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The food was very tasty and a good selection. I've also seen they have great reviews on TripAdvisor, so definitely one to visit!

Back at the hotel, the pool, beach and gardens are stunning. The rooms comfortable and clean, but unfortunately the T.V didn't have the best selection.

If we didn't go out for dinner we ate at the beach bar. Even though the restaurants in the hotel looked beautiful and the menus looked very tasty, they had the rule where, men had to wear long trousers of an evening. Some of the restaurants didn't have air conditioning, so in that heat and humidity it would of been so uncomfortable for my husband and lets face it, when you're on holiday you want to be relaxed and comfy.

All in all, we really liked the hotel and had a very enjoyable holiday in Mauritius.

Mil Palmeras

Happy Thursday guys, hope you're all well. I'm just popping on here to show you a few pictures I snapped quickly today while we were at Mil Palmeras Beach. We popped to Mercadona this morning, well more lunchtime(ish) as we are sleeping in so much lately, but that's for another day. So, we picked up a few bits for the weekend and grabbed one of their sushi boxes for our lunch on the go. fyi , the best supermarket sushi I've had! After our trip to Mercadona we headed for Leroy Merlin in La Zenia as we needed to get some more bags of sand and some gravel too for our little diy garden project. I say little, but it's turning into quite the construction! Keep an eye on my  insta stories   over the weekend for updates. En-route to Leroy's we stopped off at Mil Palmeras to eat our sushi by the sea. Mil Palmeras has always been one of our favourite places here on the Costa Blanca South. Actually it was one of the first places we went to after the lockdown last year.  To

Moringa Oil - review

For a while now I've become increasingly interested in my skin and skincare products. I am now well into my thirties and becoming aware that my skin is changing . Something the 20 year old me never thought would happen. Maybe I thought I'd be blessed with clear skin for, forever. But dear Heather that is just not the case! Literally five years ago, since my 30th a random red blemish appeared on the end of my nose and has happily sat there since! Some days it would seem more prominent then others, but it was there to stay, so I thought. Recently, the week leading up to my 35th a friend of said blemish started to appear! A smaller lighter version. Flippin' hell I'm being invaded! Was this my future! The end of my nose filled with weird under the skin red blemishes?? I had already spied one random one on each side of my jawline!  Where ever next!? Enough. Enough is enough and action was needed. I'm not letting my future skin be plagued with these weird

Getting motivated to exercise

Getting motivated to exercise for me is probably one of the hardest things. I don't know why, as in my head I'd love to be one of these fitness girls you see all over Instagram all happy, bouncy and always raring to go. I always feel good after I've exercised so I really don't know why it takes me ages to get myself motivated. I'm 39 now and I know I need to lose weight. I'm not drastically overweight it's more of a personal thing. The usual story that my clothes are getting snugger, I'm out of breath a lot quicker after just doing the simplest tasks and I'm snoring a lot more at night, which my doctor did say could be because I've put on a few extra pounds. Over the last 9 years I've actually put on 20 lbs! That's crazy isn't it. The weight has literally been sneaking up on me and the fat has gradually been moving in a pound at a time. Crafty little thing really.  It has got to the stage where enough is enough and I need, probably fo
