Hamburg Marriott Hotel

Last week Mark had to go to Hamburg for work. It was a long old slog, he ended up being delayed out there, so he worked seven days straight.

A couple of days in the office before he went to Germany and the remainder were long fourteen hour days, early starts, late finishes.

He was out there for an aircraft delivery. Even though Mark is in management now, he still has his Engineering Qualifications, so is more then qualified to inspect the new aircraft and accept that it's all tip top for the company.

Anyway, he stayed at The Marriott right in the centre of Hamburg. Most of the time Mark was at the Airbus Delivery Centre, but the day he arrived he managed to have a quick look around, not far from the hotel. I must admit when he sent me some pictures, I was soooooo jealous. Hamburg looks so nice.

I quizzed Mark about the hotel and he had nothing but great comments about the place. The staff, the location (right in the center & only 30 mins from the airport) the comfort (well it is a Marriott, so it's gonna be comfy!) and the breakfast buffet, were all excellent. Top marks!

We really want to go back together, explore the city and of course stay at the Hamburg Marriott Hotel.

Getting motivated to exercise

Getting motivated to exercise for me is probably one of the hardest things. I don't know why, as in my head I'd love to be one of these fitness girls you see all over Instagram all happy, bouncy and always raring to go. I always feel good after I've exercised so I really don't know why it takes me ages to get myself motivated. I'm 39 now and I know I need to lose weight. I'm not drastically overweight it's more of a personal thing. The usual story that my clothes are getting snugger, I'm out of breath a lot quicker after just doing the simplest tasks and I'm snoring a lot more at night, which my doctor did say could be because I've put on a few extra pounds. Over the last 9 years I've actually put on 20 lbs! That's crazy isn't it. The weight has literally been sneaking up on me and the fat has gradually been moving in a pound at a time. Crafty little thing really.  It has got to the stage where enough is enough and I need, probably fo

Choosing a name for your blog

Read more on my  Disclaimer/Contact  page ~ Since writing the post ' Blogging tips ~ Basic/Beginners'   I keep thinking about the part about choosing a name for your blog. If you've been here a while you'd know that this blog was originally called Suncream and Sparkles ~ which I have written about why I changed my blog name  here . Even though I do love my new blog name and I don't regret changing it I do wish I had taken more time and consideration in the very beginning when first starting my blog, or at least before buying the domain. You see blogging, even now for me who's been doing it for a fair few years, it really is a constant learning curve where you're always discovering new ways and new ideas to tweak and improve your blog. If you're debating on what name to choose for your

Restaurante Jardin, La Zenia, Spain

Last week after passing Restaurante Jardin for the last six years we actually got round to venturing in. And we are so pleased we did, the only regret is that it's taken us six years to do so! Located just off the Carretera de Villamartin roundabout near La Zenia's Mcdonalds and the Notary you'll find this gem of a restaurant. With a varied mix of Sushi, rice and noodles, teriyaki dishes, Bangkok style ribs, crispy beef, garlic prawns, to name just a few, they also have more simple items such as chicken balls (nuggets), fried cheese, mushrooms - which are very tasty and potato wedges. Even though Restaurante Jardin is an all you can eat buffet it is sit down table service, with a menu and your food is made to order. For €11.95 per person (€6.95 for children) we found it extremely good value for money. We had such a mix and didn't really have anything in any particular order. The dishes aren't huge, but still a decent size and I actually like them being
