Bunion Surgery - The X-Ray

So after my drama of not being able to park the other day at Crawley Hospital, Mark very kindly took me Friday afternoon when he finished work. This was complete relief to my ears. I'll be honest, I really wasn't looking forward to wasting another hour circling a busy car park with no emerging spaces!

I can't cope with the drama!

Friday afternoon off we went, preparing ourselves with a big wait, as the X-Ray department at Crawley Hospital is a walk in service, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, which is great, but on the other hand you just don't know how long you're gonna have to wait.

Traffic was quite bad, Friday afternoon in a big town it's gonna be really!

Finally we made it to the Hospital and we were absolutely amazed that there were quite a few spaces dotted around! Serious shock, lol!

Mark waited in the car so he could keep on with 'work' emails... (aka skysports I'm sure, lol!)

Off I trundled. I found the X-Ray department surprisingly easy. I was greeted by smiling friendly nurses who directed me to the waiting area.

Looking around there were a few people, but you never know others story, so I prepared myself for the long wait and reached in my bag for my book, then to hear 'Heather Townsend'. Flippin hell, me, straight away!

In I went.

The X-Ray was so quick and easy. Really simple. I sat on the bed, placed my foot on a flat surface and first X-Ray taken. Then for the second one I just laid my foot on the side and done!

So quick, so easy. Brilliant!

Mark couldn't believe it when I knocked on the car window!

Easy peasy. I'm all set now for the next appointment at the beginning of January, where the Podiatrist will have a look at the X-Ray's and then hopefully book the operation date in!

Is it weird that I am actually looking forward to the surgery?!

♥ Heather
