Stroll by the sea - Mil Palmeras - Spain

We spent the weekend in Spain again and on Saturday afternoon found ourselves over at Mil Palmeras. It is one of our favorite spots on the Orihuela Costa. In the Summer the beach is packed with tourists and residents alike. Restaurants and bars buzzing all under the scorching Spanish sun.

Come winter everything dies off. But, we still love this time of year. Wrap up warm, take a stroll along the beach and take advantage of the quiet streets, while soaking up the calming sea vibes.

The odd restaurant and bar is open - where we of course stopped for a cheeky vino blanco (and so Mark could catch the final score of the Football!)

I love being by the sea, no matter what time of the year it is, the sea is an instant relaxer and is definitely good for the soul!

  1. Lovely photos, you are so lucky. I love being by the sea, like you say it's good for the soul and I love it too when it's winter and the tourists have all but gone until next year! So peaceful.

Read more on my  Disclaimer/Contact  page ~ Since writing the post ' Blogging tips ~ Basic/Beginners'   I keep thinking about the part about choosing a name for your blog. If you've been here a while you'd know that this blog was originally called Suncream and Sparkles ~ which I have written about why I changed my blog name  here . Even though I do love my new blog name and I don't regret changing it I do wish I had taken more time and consideration in the very beginning when first starting my blog, or at least before buying the domain. You see blogging, even now for me who's been doing it for a fair few years, it really is a constant learning curve where you're always discovering new ways and new ideas to tweak and improve your blog. Mil Palmeras

Happy Thursday guys, hope you're all well. I'm just popping on here to show you a few pictures I snapped quickly today while we were at Mil Palmeras Beach. We popped to Mercadona this morning, well more lunchtime(ish) as we are sleeping in so much lately, but that's for another day. So, we picked up a few bits for the weekend and grabbed one of their sushi boxes for our lunch on the go. fyi , the best supermarket sushi I've had! After our trip to Mercadona we headed for Leroy Merlin in La Zenia as we needed to get some more bags of sand and some gravel too for our little diy garden project. I say little, but it's turning into quite the construction! Keep an eye on my  insta stories   over the weekend for updates. En-route to Leroy's we stopped off at Mil Palmeras to eat our sushi by the sea. Mil Palmeras has always been one of our favourite places here on the Costa Blanca South. Actually it was one of the first places we went to after the lockdown last year.  To

This isn't just a one off trip either. It is for, well, the foreseeable future, for as long as they'll have us anyway.  If you follow my social media,  Instagram  and  Twitter  you've probably picked up on the fact that we have relocated to Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The gist of the reason is that my husband was offered a fantastic position out there and to be honest after trying out semi-retirement and with the whole pandemic thing where we've (all) been extremely restricted we were itching for another adventure. We also never realised how much we missed the Middle East.  Previously we had five years out in the UAE, living in Abu D
