New Years Day - Playa Flamenca

Happy January 1st!

I hope everyone had a good night whatever you got up too.

We stayed home as Mark's suffering from this horrible lurgy that's going around. I cooked a pork crackling joint and we watched the film 'New Year's Eve' then had an early night. That was the plan anyway, lurgy or no lurgy.

So today we're having a very chilled day hoping that Mark can shake off this bug. We did however take a ride down to Playa Flamenca for a lovely latte at the Lobster Restaurant on the front (which we discovered Christmas Day in fact! Surprisingly they were open and we of course had a lovely glass of wine followed by a latte).

We passed on the vino today, but we loved sipping our coffee sitting in the baking sun.

We then had a light stroll along the front taking in the sea air.

A great start to 2018 and I hope yours is too!

Heather ♥

Mil Palmeras

Happy Thursday guys, hope you're all well. I'm just popping on here to show you a few pictures I snapped quickly today while we were at Mil Palmeras Beach. We popped to Mercadona this morning, well more lunchtime(ish) as we are sleeping in so much lately, but that's for another day. So, we picked up a few bits for the weekend and grabbed one of their sushi boxes for our lunch on the go. fyi , the best supermarket sushi I've had! After our trip to Mercadona we headed for Leroy Merlin in La Zenia as we needed to get some more bags of sand and some gravel too for our little diy garden project. I say little, but it's turning into quite the construction! Keep an eye on my  insta stories   over the weekend for updates. En-route to Leroy's we stopped off at Mil Palmeras to eat our sushi by the sea. Mil Palmeras has always been one of our favourite places here on the Costa Blanca South. Actually it was one of the first places we went to after the lockdown last year.  To

Spending ban - Ideas to cutting back...

- this post contains affiliate links - You may have noticed a couple of my tweets recently that I am shamefully on a 'Spending Ban'. Now, this is something both Mark and I have come to agreement on, as looking at our recent credit card statements we I, have been a little too fluid with the spends lately. So, we are putting a little 'ban' on for a few weeks! Seriously do not know how I am going to cope!! Haha... Only joking! But it did get me to thinking though about where to cut back on everyday things and where each of us can save here and there. Especially at the moment where there's hardly any interest on savings and things do seem to be getting more and more expensive! So here's a bit of random list! Nothing in any particular order, just little ideas where we can all cut back in our every day lives! ********** * First of all - I know I said no particular order, but this ones a definite first and then it
