Sun's out and wearing my aviator sunglasses from

~ I was sent these sunglasses in exchange for an honest review on my blog ~

This year so far the weather seems to have been extremely unseasonable everywhere!

The summer here in Spain is taking it's time to get going, so at the moment whenever there's a glimpse of warm sunshine we're getting ourselves outside and trying to work on that tan and to soak up some much needed vitamin D.

A little while ago the lovely people over at asked if I wanted to review some more of their sunglasses. The ones I've tried before I really liked, so I was eager to browse through the blogger selection to see what I could choose.

This time I went for an Aviator style.

I haven't worn Aviators for ages now! I loved them at one point and then I moved on to the big bug style ones - you know the ones!

Which incidentally I do still love, but I really fancied trying the Aviator sunglasses again.

Even though it hasn't been blazing sunshine in Spain just yet it has still been 'bright' out, so definitely sunglasses weather. Which is great because I've been able to give my new sunnies a good trial.

I'm sure as you can imagine they haven't disappointed.

I think Aviators are always a sure thing. They suit every face shape, any age, male or female. They really are the go-to, all rounder, cool shades. *insert smiling faced sunglasses emoji*

I love that they have a thin arm, which is great for sunbathing and for when you're just generally out and about as you won't get those thick white lines on your face. Also again, they literally are a classic style which finishes off any outfit casual or smart perfectly.

Yesterday Mark and I went for a walk along the beach at Campoamor and found ourselves walking through the Marina and ended up stopping for a couple of tapas dishes and a diet coke.

Totally spur of the moment as you can tell from my outfit! But I think when you've got the right sunglasses on you can feel completely confident, without a care in the world.

If you've been here a while you'd know that this blog was originally called Suncream and Sparkles ~ which I have written about why I changed my blog name  here . Even though I do love my new blog name and I don't regret changing it I do wish I had taken more time and consideration in the very beginning when first starting my blog, or at least before buying the domain. You see blogging, even now for me who's been doing it for a fair few years, it really is a constant learning curve where you're always discovering new ways and new ideas to tweak and improve your blog. Mil Palmeras

Happy Thursday guys, hope you're all well. I'm just popping on here to show you a few pictures I snapped quickly today while we were at Mil Palmeras Beach. We popped to Mercadona this morning, well more lunchtime(ish) as we are sleeping in so much lately, but that's for another day. So, we picked up a few bits for the weekend and grabbed one of their sushi boxes for our lunch on the go. fyi , the best supermarket sushi I've had! After our trip to Mercadona we headed for Leroy Merlin in La Zenia as we needed to get some more bags of sand and some gravel too for our little diy garden project. I say little, but it's turning into quite the construction! Keep an eye on my  insta stories   over the weekend for updates. En-route to Leroy's we stopped off at Mil Palmeras to eat our sushi by the sea. Mil Palmeras has always been one of our favourite places here on the Costa Blanca South. Actually it was one of the first places we went to after the lockdown last year.  To

We went to the Seychelles in August 2011 and January 2012. The first time we went, we stayed at the Berjaya Hotel, Beau Vallon Bay, Mahe and the second time we were booked into the same hotel, but we could only cope with one night before we relocated to the Kempinski Resort, Baie Lazare.   Berjaya Hotel, Beau Vallon Bay, Mahe Aug 2011 We chose the area Beau Vallon Bay, as my husband went there with his parents when he was a little boy and has fond memories of the holiday. They stayed at the Coral Strand, which wasn't available at the time when we wanted to go, as it was in the middle of major renovations. Berjaya Hotel was the crew hotel for the airline my husband worked for at the time, so we thought that it would be a perfect one to book into. To be honest the hotel was really disappointing. It was very dated and felt quite shabby. It was clean enough though, so we thought 'it will do' as we were only there for a couple
