Insta Summer

How crazy that September is well underway and everyone's already starting to talk about everything Autumn. I must admit it has been a very hot summer and without a pool at home this year it has been a struggle. Our air-con has been working overtime. We have tried to still have a good summer even with all the Covid restrictions. We've managed to get a few pool days in at our favourite pool La Mirada in La Zenia (I've written a post about it here if you fancy a read) as well as a not so great hotel stay at The Caleia Mar Menor

A few beach days, shopping and meals out we've still made some lovely memories this summer. Even though according to the calendar Summer maybe coming to an end, we're still blessed with the warm weather, so now the tourists are gone we'll definitely be squeezing in some more beach and pool days before the weather really turns.

Here's some screenshots from my Insta from today going back to the middle of May. When Mcdonald's opened and we had our first big mac in months haha!

Mil Palmeras

Happy Thursday guys, hope you're all well. I'm just popping on here to show you a few pictures I snapped quickly today while we were at Mil Palmeras Beach. We popped to Mercadona this morning, well more lunchtime(ish) as we are sleeping in so much lately, but that's for another day. So, we picked up a few bits for the weekend and grabbed one of their sushi boxes for our lunch on the go. fyi , the best supermarket sushi I've had! After our trip to Mercadona we headed for Leroy Merlin in La Zenia as we needed to get some more bags of sand and some gravel too for our little diy garden project. I say little, but it's turning into quite the construction! Keep an eye on my  insta stories   over the weekend for updates. En-route to Leroy's we stopped off at Mil Palmeras to eat our sushi by the sea. Mil Palmeras has always been one of our favourite places here on the Costa Blanca South. Actually it was one of the first places we went to after the lockdown last year.  To

Spending ban - Ideas to cutting back...

- this post contains affiliate links - You may have noticed a couple of my tweets recently that I am shamefully on a 'Spending Ban'. Now, this is something both Mark and I have come to agreement on, as looking at our recent credit card statements we I, have been a little too fluid with the spends lately. So, we are putting a little 'ban' on for a few weeks! Seriously do not know how I am going to cope!! Haha... Only joking! But it did get me to thinking though about where to cut back on everyday things and where each of us can save here and there. Especially at the moment where there's hardly any interest on savings and things do seem to be getting more and more expensive! So here's a bit of random list! Nothing in any particular order, just little ideas where we can all cut back in our every day lives! ********** * First of all - I know I said no particular order, but this ones a definite first and then it
